Hmmm.......its quiet on this tribe forum, did anyone go to burining man or are we all so absorbed by the drama that is happening on the other tribe lists?? There have been some amusing trolls on line this year.

My experience was challenging this year, mostly due to my own expectations. Which surprised me, because usually I try to go without having any expectations. Once I realized that was what was happening with things changed and I had some really sweet moments. Sharing the deep playa and looking at shooting stars with a newly met stranger, now friend.
Deeping my friendships with old acquaintences. Some of the art was just staggering for me. VIsiting the camp with Alex Grey and the other Visual Artists was cool. Ben and Jerry's ice cream and wiggling my toes in some very green sod grass. Being the Maid of Honor in a friend's temporary Wedding. Enjoying the randomness of it all.

My burn was great, in so far as I had none of the "responsibliities" of last year. Whew! (No funerals or memorials happened, no new family members, no crying girls in the dome!)

The Burners Without Borders work this past year gave me some kind of "Burning Man Boot Camp" so that when I walked in this year I had totally new eyes. The veil had been lifted! That much was different... but a great year after all.

The frackin' bartender at the hotel (ack! Peppermill) in Reno called us all a bunch of hippies- and that tOTALLY pissed me off. You shoulda' seen the fire in my eyes! Good thing I got all those pre-prepared hippie comebacks- I coulda swatted him a thousand lashings for that one. The front desk guy was just as bad- (ack!) - Don't go to Peppermill in Reno...
