This was my first year missing the playa. It was pretty intense.

I had several vivid dreams that week. Even while awake, I had some "moments".

I've learned that even though I wasn't physically there, many of my family brought me there in spirit.
I don't feel like I've missed out, cause I was there. Your mind is a powerful thing.

I've also learned that I'm NOT missing next year
=)

Pass along any experiences and perhaps things you got out of the burn. I learn threw others.

Give it to me, I would love to hear it all.

I learned that I am just as in love with doing my own thing and avoiding crowds as in 'normal life.' Also, I learned that watching other people be drunk and on acid is really annoying when you are sober.
I remembered that burning man is the best vacation I have ever taken.

well, i did'nt do acid. but i was drunk most of the time, not falling down drunk but tipsy nonetheless. i'm also a maintenance stoner, so it goes without saying that we smoked almost 24/7 during the event.

we had to operate an illegal radio station called Radio Free Burning Man, you know.

it was the first burn for me out of seven, that i have not tripped on anything. every burn prior to this one i have dosed at least twice in the desert. being there with a girlfriend who does'nt and can't trip due to her bipolar disorder brought an entirely new perspective of the playa to me.

2005 turned out to be the best year ever, even though they've all been good.
